Say hey to the Philodendron Micans aka Velvet Leaf Philodendron. Yes, they really do seem velvet-y. Juvenile leaves unfurl as this dark chartreuse colour but as they mature, they turn deep green with a purple-red underside. In sunlight, you can see this iridescence in the leaves that are a real showstopper. She can be grown to climb up totems or look just as good left to hang. She is grown and sold in 130mm squat pots.

Philodendron Micans

    • She needs bright, indirect light. Any direct sunlight can burn her leaves
    • Allow to almost completely dry out before giving her another big drink (until water seeps out of the drainage holes)
